My goal is to help you make sense of your situation, increase your self-worth and ultimately find better quality of life.
My Services
I provide psychotherapy to help people address the difficulties in their lives. My clients include individuals, traditional and non-traditional couples and families. Some of the most common issues we talk about include communication problems, emotional and physical intimacy, conflictual family dynamics, parenting challenges, developmental changes and life transitions.
Deciding to begin a therapeutic process is not always an easy decision. If you have questions about whether therapy could be right for you, I offer a free 15-minute phone consultation. About Me
A graduate of the University of Waterloo and McGill University, I have more than 10 years of professional and academic experience counselling individuals, couples and families in Canada and Europe. Prior to opening my private practice, I worked as a therapist in the counselling department at Agence Ometz with individuals, families and couples in the Jewish community; and at the Kahnawake Shakotija’takehnhas Community Service Center with members of the Kahnawake First Nations community. Through my master’s program of couple and family therapy at McGill, I was part of a small research team at the University, where the focus was on working through trauma in couples' therapy. Beforehand I worked at Langs Community Health Centre of Waterloo, providing sex-education and group work with adolescents, parents with young children, and adults in later life. I also spent several years in Europe working in a Family Service agency with families and young children in Berlin.
I am an accredited couple and family therapist within the Ordre des Travailleurs Sociaux et Thérapeutes Conjugaux et Familiaux du Quebec (OTSTCFQ). I am also an accredited psychotherapist with a psychotherapy permit from the Ordre des Psychologues du Quebec (OPQ). I am an accredited clinical supervisor, offering clinical supervision to therapists and social workers, and supervising students at the university of McGill. And I am a sessional lecturer within the couple and family therapy department at McGill.
